The
creative team of Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa reinvents the spirit of
Christmas with a magical theme that will lead adults and children alike on a
dream journey, leading us up in style to the end-of-year traditional
festivities.
Browsing through Le Méridien St Julians’
Christmas brochure feels like opening up the forgotten world of ancient story
books. The leaflet is tainted in fairy tales’ colours and each page is a sweet
discovery, that combines necessary informative content with enchanting touches.
An innovative concept that certainly distinguishes itself and strikes
curiosity, on a market inundated with Christmas and New Year promotions.
“This
year at Le Méridien, storytelling is key.”, explains Mr. Franco Vella, General
Manager. “Our theme was carefully
selected and was welcomed with great enthusiasm by all our departments. It is a
success on several levels. Not only do we believe that it will present our
customers with an unusual yet magical dining experience that will exceed their
expectations, but it also triggered the creative minds of our entire team.
Everyone is willing to go the extra mile to entertain our guests like one
writes a perfect fairy tale: with imagination, passion and an impeccable
attention to details.”
It’s this time of year again when Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa and its dedicated team strive to hold out a helping hand to the ones who need it most. Since the theme of Le Méridien’s end-of-year festivities 2011 is exploiting the magical world of Fairy Tales and with the talented handcrafted creativity of Valletta Glass, Le Méridien Kitchen Brigade has come up with a stunning concept for their traditional Giant Christmas cake.
On Friday 2nd of December, as an
opening ceremony to the launch of Le Méridien Christmas Festivities, an edible
cushion was presented by Reuben Grixti, Executive Head Chef. On top of this
pastry chef-d’oeuvre, a stunning “Cinderella’s Glass Slipper” was proudly laid
out - a unique handmade collection piece of blown glass created purposely for
the occasion by Valletta Glass.
The dainty sparkling shoe is indeed an
unparalleled work of art, containing no less than €50 worth of gold dust.
During the welcome reception of the night, an auction of this amazing
Cinderella’s Glass Slipper was held with all patrons attending Le Méridien
Christmas Launch. All proceeds went to L-Istrina.
Additionally, throughout the weekend
(Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th), Le Méridien St Julians Hotel
& Spa sold portions of their sumptuous giant Christmas Cake. All visitors
were welcome to join for a sweet treat: for only €2, one could enjoy a great
bite of the cake, together with a nice coffee. All profit made throughout the
weekend will also be forwarded to the Malta Community Chest Fund. One more
excellent reason to visit Le Méridien this festive season and to immerse
yourself into the magical Fairy Tale world created purposely for this Christmas
period.
