Méridien’s Wedding Team truly excels when it comes to orchestrates
a couple’s vision into a dream come true. Elyse Borg and Gilbert
Xuereb – both part of Le Méridien's Wedding Team, continuously
focus on the fact that each wedding is unique and should reflect the
couples’ personalities - whether it’s a small seated wedding for
10 guests, or a grand reception for hundreds of invitees. “Weddings
portray an intimate celebration”,
states Elyse Borg, Events Manager. “When
we meet a couple, our priority is to build a good relationship with
them and take time to understand them. Ultimately, this is the most
efficient way to learn how to anticipate their needs and organize
their idea of the perfect wedding.”
Her colleague Gilbert Xuereb underlines another essential factor:

is a lot of stress on the couple before their big day and it is
understandable. Our role is also to reassure them through the whole
process and make them feel that they can trust us. We strive to
minimize the pressure that weights on the bridal couple and their
families. For the Wedding to be a success, we need them to feel at

Throughout the years, Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa has kept on building on a solid reputation in terms of wedding services. After the success of the previous editions, Le Méridien Wedding Team felt it necessary to answer to the increasing flow of wedding queries. They are keeping the tradition going by putting together yet again another showcase weekend dedicated to couples seeking advice and inspiration for the organisation of their special day. Le Méridien 3rd consecutive Wedding Showcase will open its doors on Saturday 20th of October and on Sunday 21st of October with what promises to be a great interactive weekend for brides and grooms to be.
“Our Events Team has been buzzing around for quite a few weeks now, excitedly preparing the event”, explains Elyse Borg, the Events Manager of the hotel. “We have been taking the set-up of our Wedding Showcase extremely seriously and we are leaving nothing to chance. We want these tow days to be a weekend to remember, especially in terms of interaction with our customers. Apart from the vast array of great wedding-related providers who will be displaying their services, our entire team will be there to answer any question that our visiting couples may have.”
Indeed, for the occasion, the hotel has partnered up with prestigious suppliers such as Mark Cilia (photographer) and Jigami (hairdressing), only to mention a few. The weekend program boasts a lot of enriching surprises, with a myriad of wedding specialists who will be offering guidance and professional suggestions to couples there and then. Visitors are invited to take a stroll around the premises any time on Saturday from noon till 10pm, and on Sunday from 11am till 7pm. The Sales and Events team will be present throughout the event, making themselves available for show-arounds and to provide one-to-one guidance sessions.
The culinary department of Le Méridien is also on alert: Stuart Caruana, F&B Manager and Reuben Grixti, Executive Head Chef, have been browsing together through the most delightful array of possibilities on what to offer to the Wedding Fair visitors. “It is a great opportunity for our kitchen brigade to display its creativity and passion for cuisine”, states Reuben. “But we are not only willing to show off our best cooking talents. We also want to inspire guests by putting our flexibility at their service. We will demonstrate this approach with our open-kitchen concept which has been a great success in previous years.”
The dining and reception venues of the hotel will be wearing their most magical set-ups throughout the weekend and Le Méridien Management is expecting a great turn-out at the event, as the décor in place will allow customers to better visualize every little aspect of their wedding day.
