Le Meridien Sunday Lunch is back

Popular and stylish culinary appointment returns on 26 September

Sunday lovers are in for a treat with the Sunday lunches at Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa. This popular feature of local cuisine returns on Sunday 26th of September with a lavish variety of dishes and a great range of additional enticements, making this dining package close to unbeatable.

To start off this great lunch tradition on a good note, Le Méridien presents an impressive selection of fresh antipasti, creative salad compositions, cured meats, marinated fish, seafood delights and terrines from both land and sea. This array of starters is accompanied by freshly dressings and dips. For the big appetites, Le Méridien chefs also boast a mouth-watering choice of two soups and two pastas.
For mains, guest may enjoy a carvery of roast minted lamb or succulent gammon, served with a honey, apples and cloves port. Other hot dishes include traditional Maltese pan fried rabbit, grilled beef with parsley and pepper sauce, roast chicken with tarragon and onion gravy, duo of salmon and sea bream - all this complemented with savoury vegetable recipes.

Accompaniments also include Moroccan couscous, broccoli and roast potatoes with rustic tomato, caramelised onions and fennel. Additionally, a very attractive Asian table includes chicken and sweet corn soup, sweet and sour pork, Thai fried rice, chicken madras curry, Hoi Sin glazed Peking duck wrapped in pancakes, Indian Samoza, prawn crackers, popadoms and a selection of Asian sauces.

There is a separate cheese counter with local and international cheeses, nuts, dried fruit, grissini and water biscuits.

For those with a sweet tooth, a wide selection of desserts is on display with tarts, fresh mousses, pastries, crêpes flambées, homemade gateaux, mousses and a tantalizing ice-cream bar. One can also experience a divine chocolate fountain with carved fruit, mini doughnuts, marshmallows, assorted cakes, seasonal and tropical fruit.

“Our Sunday Lunch has developed its reputation over the past years”, explains Angela Saliba, Hotel Manager of Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa. “Our Kitchen Team, led by Executive Chef Reuben Grixti, is aiming at exceeding our repeat customers’ expectations.”

The Sunday lunch is held from 12.30hrs to 15.00hrs and costs €25.50 per adult. This also includes three hours of free parking. Children under 12 years old eat for free, whilst teenagers between 12 and 15 years old are only charged at €10 per head.

There is a 15% discount on beverages for bookings larger than six paying adults and a 15% discount on the total bill for groups larger than 15 paying adults.
